Sim Demon's WooCommerce site had several areas that consistently caused issues and consumed their internal team's time. These include:

📚 An excessive number of plugins bogged down the WooCommerce backend, making it slow and unreliable. This complexity made managing functionality a constant challenge.
🐢 While visually stunning, the site's image-heavy design significantly slowed down navigation and page load times.
💸 The combination of poor user experience and slow website speed negatively impacted conversion rates, directly affecting sales.
💰 With a vast product catalogue and a number of pages used instead of categories, hosting and related services were costing hundreds of pounds monthly, eating into profit margins.

Additional Requirements

This project also included the following requirements, on top of our standard WooCommerce to Shopify migration.

👉 For a fresh look the client wanted to use and build upon the Enterprise theme
🛒 An app that allows customers to purchase multiple products similarly to a ‘bundle’ within a single product page
💬 Given the client's reliance on Tawk.io for business-customer communications, implementing Shopify Inbox will offer a basic ticketing system and the ability to respond to customer queries

The Results

Since launching the new Shopify store, Sim Demon has seen numerous benefits of having a Shopify store:

⏳ Improved tech-stack to reduce time wasted by the team in managing and maintaining their store through apps
🎨 The paid-for theme allows for ease of use and template editing moving forward
📈 We will keep an eye with the Sim Demon team on their data to update this case study in the near future

Additionally, the enhanced site experience has eased the workload for managing inventory and maintaining the site long-term.
